Former England rugby star James Haskell has launched a scathing onstage attack on his estranged wife Chloe Madeley during the final leg of his World Cup Afterparty podcast tour in Bath. The 38-year-old, who split from Chloe in October after five years of marriage, branded her 'unreasonable, overly critical and insensitive, and unfair in arguments' in front of a live audience.
Haskell, joined by co-hosts Mike Tindall and Alex Payne, joked about hiding money in offshore accounts to avoid a large divorce payout. 'I need the cash because I am about to lose half of it. That is if she can find it. I always forget where I put it - the Cayman Islands, Switzerland,' he said, adding that he 'hasn't got a pot to p**s in' after being 'cancelled' numerous times.
The rugby star also compared his ex-wife to Tindall, saying: 'He tells you everything you have ever done wrong with complete disregard for any sensitivity... sounds like my wife actually.' He quickly corrected himself to 'ex-wife' but noted the divorce was not yet official.
Despite the onstage tirade, the couple have been spotted together recently, enjoying a gym workout and a pub lunch with their daughter Bodhi, fuelling speculation of a possible reconciliation. The pair separated just over a year after welcoming their daughter in 2022.
