Former rugby star James Haskell has admitted he fancies one of the stars on this year's Celebs Go Dating. The 41-year-old is currently searching for romance on the reality series following his separation from Chloe Madeley, daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan. The couple spent a decade together and were married for five years before parting ways. They share a daughter named Bodhi.
James Haskell's Crush Revelation
On Tuesday's (May 12) edition of This Morning, James chatted with Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about his experience on Celebs Go Dating. Yet he wasted no time in admitting he'd developed feelings for a fellow contestant on the E4 show, reports OK!.
Discussing the cast, he remarked: "On this, you're dealing with lots of emotion, love, sadness, loss, divorce, and we bonded really well. They are so nice, especially Coleen Nolan, I've got a real crush on her as well."
He added: "You're not allowed to date the other celebs, but I probably would've given her a spin!" As he erupted into laughter, Cat seemed stunned by the comment, questioning: "Would you?! We watched the one where she's getting frisky over the table."
James continued: "I was in the room next door to her in the villa, I did have to tell security, you have to post a man on the door!"
Surprise Studio Appearance
Following his surprise revelation, Ben disclosed that Coleen was waiting in the studio to ambush James mid-interview. Embracing warmly, Coleen quipped: "Did somebody say they wanted to date me?!" Reflecting on their time together on the programme, Coleen revealed to the ITV presenters that James would pop by her door daily, asking: 'Are you alright, nanna?'
James quipped: "I had to put multiple locks on the door. She was coming at me all the time, tried climbing through the window, honestly. Kept dropping things in front of me, going 'Ooh', I didn't know your hips worked that well."
Support from Ex-Wife
During the chat, James also shared that his ex Chloe has been supportive of his stint on the dating programme. He said: "When you do something like that (Celebs Go Dating) on TV and you have a daughter and you put yourself in the public eye, it's really important to sit down and speak to her."
He continued: "We chatted about stuff, and she said, 'Look, if you want to do it, I'm 100% supportive of you'. I obviously talked to her about bits that happened on the show, so there's transparency." Adding: "You don't want to be the last person to know, for example, there's an episode where I kiss someone, and something happens, and I wanted to be very respectful."
This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am. Celebs Go Dating is available to watch on E4.
