Former rugby player James Haskell has revealed he developed a 'real crush' on his Celebs Go Dating co-star Coleen Nolan. The 41-year-old, who is searching for romance on the E4 reality series following his separation from Chloe Madeley, made the admission during an appearance on This Morning.
Speaking to Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Haskell said the cast bonded closely during filming, adding: "They are so nice, especially Coleen Nolan, I've got a real crush on her as well." He joked that while contestants are not allowed to date each other, "I probably would've given her a spin!". The comment prompted a surprised reaction from Cat Deeley, who asked: "Would you?!"
Haskell went on to describe his interactions with Nolan at the villa, claiming he had to ask security to post a man outside his door after she became 'frisky over the table'. He added: "I was in the room next door to her in the villa." Mid-interview, Ben Shephard revealed Nolan was waiting in the studio, and she made a surprise entrance, quipping: "Did somebody say they wanted to date me?!"
Nolan then recalled that Haskell would regularly pop by her door to ask, 'Are you alright, nanna?' - a comment that led to further playful banter. Haskell joked about having to put "multiple locks on the door" and claimed Nolan had attempted to climb through a window, adding: "Kept dropping things in front of me, going 'Ooh', I didn't know your hips worked that well."
Haskell also spoke about his ex-wife Chloe Madeley, with whom he shares daughter Bodhi. He said the couple, who were together for a decade and married for five years before parting ways, had discussed his appearance on the show. "She said, 'Look, if you want to do it, I'm 100% supportive of you'," he explained, adding that he wanted transparency about events such as a kiss featured in an episode.
