X Factor star Jake Quickenden has announced that he and his wife Sophie Church are expecting their second child together. The 35-year-old shared the news on Instagram, revealing that the couple have been trying for a baby for a long time.
Jake, who already has a three-year-old son Leo, posted a montage video showing the pair breaking the news to family members. The final clip teased a gender reveal, cutting off before the cake's interior colour was shown. The post was flooded with congratulations from fans and fellow celebrities, including Steps star Ian Watkins.
Speaking previously about expanding their family, Jake told the Daily Star: 'We are trying for another one. It is the easiest decision ever. We definitely want one more. Our family already feels complete, but we’d love one more. We would love a little girl. That would be the icing on the cake.'
Jake and Sophie married in Ibiza in 2022 after getting engaged in Greece in August 2021. They have been together since 2018 and welcomed Leo in February of that year. Jake has previously spoken about the strength of their relationship, saying they support each other through the challenges of parenthood.
