Jake Quickenden has opened up about his relationship with his ex-wife Sophie Church, insisting there is "no malice" between them as he focuses on "moving forward". The comments follow an onstage exchange at the Hair and Beauty Awards last weekend, where Katie Price publicly flirted with him.
Katie Price's Onstage Flirtation
During the event, Katie, who is still married to Lee Andrews, jokingly propositioned Jake in front of beauty industry professionals. A source told The Mirror: "Katie was flirting a lot with Jake and jokingly propositioning him. There was a lot of back and forth, and there’s a certain rapport between them. They had a hug when he came off stage and had a giggle together."
Katie told Jake that This Morning co-star Ben Shepherd had suggested Jake would be the perfect fit for her. She said: "Are you blowing me out? Is that a yes or a no? I’m putting you on the spot." Jake replied: "You are." When she asked if she was his type, he said: "You’re a beautiful lady, Kate, get on with the awards!"
Jake's Focus on His Children
Despite the flirtatious exchange, Jake insisted his main priority is his two children, whom he shares with Sophie. He told The Sun: "Sophie and I are in a good place. There was no kind of malice there or anything like that. We’ll always put the kids before anything else. Now, for me, it is all about kind of moving forward and continuing to try and better myself and make sure my kids are happy. I mean, that’s what drives me."
Speaking about what motivates him, he added: "All I’m bothered about are the kids, if I’m honest. As long as they’re going to be okay then I’ll be fine and we will all be good."
Lee Andrews' Prison Claims
Katie's husband Lee Andrews recently returned to jail for a second time. His ex, Alana Percival, claimed he constantly lies to fellow inmates. She said: "Even being in there like nobody likes him because all he does is just chats utter b*****ks all day long. You can imagine the ridiculous stories he's coming out with. He tells them every single week that he's getting out of jail. So when it gets to Thursday or Friday, he goes 'Oh, all my paperwork has been sorted. I'm getting released on Monday.' And he says it every single week. He just makes himself look like a clown. Even a couple of weeks ago, he said a famous celebrity had paid to get him out, and everyone asked who it was, and he said he couldn't say because he'd signed an NDA."
Last month, Katie was seen without her wedding ring after scenes from her new documentary aired in which she revealed that her family refuse to meet her fourth husband. However, she later put the ring back on. On her own podcast, she admitted that he "completes" her "in every f***ed up way".
