Actress Jaime King, 46, is engaged to investor Austin Sosa, according to reports. The Sin City star was photographed leaving a salon in West Hollywood, California, wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger, seemingly confirming the news.
A source told People that King has grown close to Sosa’s family, staying with his parents after moving out of her Los Angeles apartment earlier this year. The couple shared a joint Instagram post last month, though Sosa was not pictured; King posed with her two sons, James, 11, and Leo, nine, whom she shares with ex-husband Kyle Newman.
King’s engagement follows a contentious custody battle with Newman, from whom she divorced in 2023. In March, court documents revealed Newman was granted full physical custody of their sons after King “had not completed” a six-month drug and alcohol rehab programme. The couple share joint legal custody, with Newman holding “tie-breaking authority.”
Speaking on Jana Kramer’s podcast Whine Down in April, King described the custody battle as “horrifying” and claimed much of the reporting was “inaccurate.” She said she had not spoken about it to protect her children, adding, “It’s really important to support the structure of family and kindness.”
King also faced a lawsuit from her landlord, Sheila Irani, who alleged she owed over $42,000 in rent. King’s attorney argued the custody battle was distracting, but King later confirmed the matter was “resolved privately,” stating she was focused on her children.
