Cruz Beckham's girlfriend Jackie Apostel brands Harper Beckham 'bestie'
Jackie Apostel calls Harper Beckham 'bestie' during Amalfi holiday

Cruz Beckham's girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, has been forging a close bond with his younger sister, Harper, during the family's summer holiday on Italy's Amalfi Coast. The 30-year-old Brazilian model took to Instagram on Saturday to share a mirror selfie with the 15-year-old as they prepared for a night out in the coastal enclave, a popular celebrity hotspot. In the caption, she affectionately wrote: 'Built in bestie.'

Holiday bonding in southern Italy

The Beckham family are currently enjoying soaring Mediterranean temperatures on the picturesque Amalfi Coast. Jackie, who is dating Cruz, posed alongside Harper in glamorous evening gowns while standing in a gleaming, marble-floored hallway for the summery snapshot.

Harper's new connection with Jackie comes after her former bond with sister-in-law Nicola Peltz was abruptly severed by her older brother, Brooklyn, following his decision to distance himself from the wider Beckham family.

Brooklyn's family rift

The teenager was inconsolable after making a surprise visit to Brooklyn and Nicola's sprawling Los Angeles home in June, only to be denied entry. Harper was pictured arriving at the property in a chauffeur-driven SUV shortly after attending her father's Hollywood Walk of Fame initiation ceremony, an event also attended by close family friend Tom Cruise.

Wearing the same pink silk dress she wore while celebrating with her parents on Hollywood Boulevard, David and Victoria's youngest child was left waiting on the sidewalk after discovering neither Brooklyn nor his wife was home.

Strained relationship with sister

The Mirror previously reported how Brooklyn had struggled to maintain a relationship with his sister while his feud with his parents continued to simmer. The 26-year-old is currently not on speaking terms with David and Victoria, or his brothers Cruz and Romeo, all of whom he has blocked on social media.

However, the situation is "very different" when it comes to Harper, whom Brooklyn is understood to want to protect from the family fallout. A source admits that the "fundamental logistics of his little sister living under the same roof as his parents....makes things very hard, contact-wise" and the pair are no longer as close as they once were.

Having initially sparked a feud by snubbing his father's 50th birthday party, Brooklyn launched a scathing attack on his family in an Instagram post earlier this year, leaving his sister utterly devastated. He said: "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life."
