Yungblud reveals Jack Osbourne's heartbreaking text after Ozzy's death

Yungblud has shared the emotional text message Jack Osbourne sent him following the death of Ozzy Osbourne. The singer, real name Dominic Harrison, had developed a close relationship with the late rock star and his family before Ozzy passed away at the age of 76 last month.

The 28-year-old musician performed at Ozzy's final concert, Back to the Beginning, at Villa Park just weeks before the Black Sabbath frontman died. He also gave Ozzy a personal gift on the day. Speaking about the aftermath, Yungblud described the 'weird' period since Ozzy's death, saying: 'You get to know someone personally, who you love. And then they leave.'

In an interview with The Sun, he revealed: 'I was texting him, then his son Jack texted me and said, “He’s gone.” I’m like, “What?” Being around the family and being at the funeral, the amount of love there. That family are real as f***k.' Yungblud also expressed his admiration for the Osbourne family, saying his dream is to have a family like theirs, 'no gimmicks, it’s authentic.'

The singer admitted he found Ozzy's death 'overwhelming', having previously called him 'the greatest of all time'. He told The Times: 'I told a friend that I thought Ozzy had another five albums in him. And then he did the show and then he died. It's so overwhelming.' He added: 'I just love him and right till the very end he supported me. I get emotional, because I've loved him since I was about two.'

Yungblud learned of Ozzy's death while on a remote island without internet, recording new music. He later posted a tribute on Instagram, writing: 'I didn’t think you would leave so soon... I will never forget you - you will be in every single note I sing.'
