Rochelle and Marvin Humes Spend £40k on Guard Dogs After Celebrity Break-Ins

Rochelle and Marvin Humes have reportedly purchased two guard dogs costing £40,000 to protect their home following a spate of celebrity burglaries. The former The Saturdays singer, 36, and her JLS star husband, 40, have enlisted Elite Protection Dogs, a firm that provides trained guard dogs to famous clients.

The couple have bought two black Cane Corsos, each costing £20,000, which are described as 'family-friendly companions' that are 'expertly trained for safety' and 'adaptable to home environments', according to the company's website. The London-based firm shared a photo of the dogs training in a gym on Instagram, tagging Rochelle and Marvin with the caption: 'Heavyweights in the gym.'

The decision comes after a series of high-profile home robberies targeting celebrities, including Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby, whose £1 million Sunderland mansion was stormed by masked intruders with a machete in November. Other stars such as Chloe Ferry, Davide Sanclimenti, and Jacqueline Jossa have also been affected in recent years.

Elite Protection Dogs notes that their puppies come from military and police backgrounds, with generations of experience in protection. The company offers both guard dogs and personal protection dogs, with prices starting from £15,000. The Humes already own a six-year-old Cockapoo named Ginger, which has its own Instagram account.

Other celebrities reportedly taking similar security measures include Stormzy, Marcus Rashford, Raheem Sterling, James Maddison, Jack Grealish, and Jamie Vardy. The Standard has contacted Rochelle and Marvin's representatives for comment.
