Amber Heard's friend told the High Court today that the actress was left 'naked and bleeding' on the floor as Johnny Depp 'urinated on the furniture' during a row in Australia. Raquel 'Rocky' Pennington, who said she was 'best friends' with Heard when she lived in Depp's Los Angeles penthouse between 2014 and 2016, gave evidence via video link from Los Angeles.
Pennington said she did not see Depp hit Heard, but described the 'Australia incident' as the first time she was 'really scared for Amber's life'. Heard has alleged Depp subjected her to a 'three-day hostage situation' in March 2015, which Depp denies. Pennington claimed Heard told her the row started over Depp's drinking as he tried to get sober.
Pennington said: 'She [Heard] said that he was throwing glass bottles at her, and there was broken glass all over the ground which cut her feet. She said he backed her up against a bar and she was trying to support herself but her arms were sliding down and getting cut by broken glass.' Pennington added that Heard told her Depp ripped off her nightgown, leaving her naked and bleeding on the floor, and that he cut off the tip of his finger and wrote messages in paint and blood on the walls.
The court also saw a video of Heard's sister Whitney Henriquez allowing friends to inspect 'bruises on her face and body' after the actress 'whipped her a**'. Depp's legal team said the clip proves Henriquez lied under oath after she testified that Heard had never been violent towards her. In the video, Henriquez is seen with a group of women around a swimming pool, where one says: 'I can't believe Amber beat your a**.' Henriquez denies the video proves a physical attack, saying they had a verbal argument.
