Hollyoaks Star Callum Kerr Marries in Scotland Amid Family Tragedy
Hollyoaks actor Callum Kerr weds Lauren Stacy in Scotland

Hollyoaks and Virgin River star Callum Kerr has exchanged vows with his long-term partner Lauren Stacy in a beautiful ceremony held in Scotland. The couple, who are parents to a two-year-old daughter, celebrated their union on Saturday surrounded by family and close friends, including several of Kerr's soap opera co-stars.

A Joyous Day in Scotland

The wedding was a picture of happiness, with the actor choosing to honour his heritage by wearing a traditional kilt for the occasion. Lauren Stacy looked elegant in a simple white gown with thin straps. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds shared their first dance as a married couple, appearing deeply in love amongst their guests.

The guest list featured a host of familiar faces from the Channel 4 soap, including Nadine Mulkerrin (Cleo McQueen), Owen Warner (Romeo Nightingale), Billy Price (Sid Summer), Rishi Nair (Sami Maalik), AJ Woodward (Brody Hudson) and Ellis Hollins (Tom Cunningham). The couple, who got engaged in 2024 during a holiday in South Africa, now reside in Tennessee, USA.

A Shadow of Family Tragedy

The celebration comes after a period of profound personal tragedy for the 31-year-old actor. In February 2025, Kerr's mother, Dawn Searle, 56, and her husband, Andrew Searle, 65, were found dead at their home in Les Pequies, south west France.

French authorities investigating the deaths have concluded that the most likely scenario is a murder-suicide. A post-mortem found Dawn had suffered multiple blows to the head, while Andrew was found deceased by hanging. The investigation found no defensive wounds on Andrew and no forensic evidence to suggest a third party was involved.

In a heartfelt statement on social media last year, Callum Kerr and his sister Amanda asked their mother's friends not to attend Andrew Searle's funeral. "It would be inappropriate for her memory to be associated with a service honouring the man who, based on all available evidence, may have been responsible for her death," the statement read. The actor has spoken of his ongoing grief and quest for justice for his mother.

Moving Forward with Love

Despite the heartbreaking loss, Callum Kerr has focused on building a future with his new wife and their young daughter, Isla. The Scottish actor, best known for playing PC George Kiss in Hollyoaks and his role in Netflix's Virgin River, previously walked his mother down the aisle at her own wedding in France in 2023.

The couple's wedding day marks a new, hopeful chapter, symbolising love and resilience in the face of immense personal adversity. The images from the day, shared by friends, show a couple firmly focused on their happiness and family.
