Holly Willoughby has been spotted enjoying a night out with friend Nicole Appleton, as the fallout from her former colleague Phillip Schofield's affair continues. The 43-year-old presenter shared photos on her Instagram Story of herself and the former All Saints singer watching Nicole's son, Gene Gallagher, perform with his band Villanelle.
Gene, 23, is the son of Nicole and Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher. Villanelle are set to begin their debut tour next month and are rumoured to be the support act for Oasis's reunion concerts next year. In one snap, Holly held a drink and smiled alongside Nicole, captioning it with praise for the 'proud mumma'.
The outing marks Holly's return to social media after stepping back from presenting following the scandal that erupted in May 2023. Phillip Schofield admitted to an 'unwise but not illegal' affair with a younger colleague, which he had previously denied to Holly and ITV bosses. Holly later said she was hurt to discover he had lied to her.
Relations between the former This Morning co-hosts have since soured, with Schofield recently making remarks about Holly in his Channel 5 show Cast Away. He impersonated her 'Are you okay?' catchphrase and suggested there were 'three s***s' behind his downfall.
