Holly Willoughby has broken her silence after her new YouTube show, Holly Willoughby Together, was compared to Meghan Markle’s Netflix series With Love, Meghan. In an interview with The Times, the former This Morning presenter, 45, said she “doesn’t mind” the comparisons and defended Meghan’s show.
Holly's Verdict on Meghan's Show
Holly said: “I know it got an absolute hammering, but I actually really enjoyed her show.” Her comments come after Meghan’s programme was mocked by TV legend Martha Stewart earlier this week.
The comparisons between the two shows have been widely discussed, with multiple outlets publishing think pieces judging them side by side. Holly’s own show has faced criticism, with TalkTV star Stephanie Takyi comparing it to “watching paint dry”.
Criticism of Holly's Show
Stephanie said: “Holly is back but she is not back with a bang. You know, this is a very sink or swim moment for Holly Willoughby's career, and right now, she's sinking. She's no longer the nation's TV sweetheart anymore, we've seen through that. We've seen the controversy over the past few years. We want a bit of realism from Holly.”
She added: “So she's now come back, gone into this Meghan, Martha Stewart-kind of era, and so far it's not working. I think this is very much a last shot saloon for Holly Willoughby's career, but we have to give her the benefit of the doubt. It was the first episode, but if I'm honest, Mark, it was like watching paint dry. I fell asleep half way through it.”

Others have insisted Holly’s show “makes Meghan’s look good”. She has also faced backlash for accepting sponsorship from weight loss medication company Voy, and for working with her producer husband Dan Baldwin behind the scenes, which some have labelled “nepotism”.
