The actress, 42, has reportedly split from her boyfriend, revealed a diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and is launching a new podcast.
Reported Split from Boyfriend Dan Innes
In February 2025, Helen began dating Dan Innes, a property marketing agent and father of two. The relationship moved quickly, and by early 2026, Innes had moved into the home Helen shares with her two children. However, recent sightings of Innes moving his belongings out of the property, while Helen walked her dog, sparked speculation of a breakup. A source told The Sun: “Helen and Dan have gone their separate ways. They had a whirlwind romance, but their differences became apparent. It has been a difficult time for them both.” The Daily Mirror has approached Helen George's representatives for comment.
Helen George Reveals ADHD Diagnosis
In March 2026, Helen disclosed for the first time that she was diagnosed with ADHD three and a half years ago, after the birth of her second child. Speaking on the podcast I’m ADHD! No You’re Not!, she said: “I've spent my whole life covering it up.” She described a conversation with a male friend who was describing how women with children are often diagnosed later in life: “He was telling me all this, and I suddenly went, 'Oh s***, just like me.' It's the light bulb moment that I needed.” She added: “I just thought I'm an actress, and everyone's bats*** crazy.”
New Podcast Venture: Mystic Mates
Helen is set to co-host a new weekly podcast, Mystic Mates, with close friend and fellow actor Yvette Robinson. Launching on 13 July 2026, the podcast is described as a “space for funny, honest and deeply personal conversations” covering relationships, motherhood, grief, intuition, and spirituality. The show's description notes: “Fascination with the mystic has never been more mainstream. As Helen puts it, 'mention tarot and everyone suddenly has a story.'”
Future of Call the Midwife
Call the Midwife will return for future series, and fans hope to see Helen reprise her role as Trixie. The 15th series, set in 1971, saw Trixie fighting to save Nonnatus House amid changes in the National Health Service.
