Helen Flanagan opens up about downsizing as she prepares to leave family home

Helen Flanagan has revealed she is preparing to move out of her eight-bedroom family home in Bolton, Greater Manchester, four years after purchasing it with her former partner Scott Sinclair. The former Coronation Street actress, 34, said she is looking forward to a “fresh break” but admitted to feeling sad about leaving the property she put so much effort into.

Speaking on the Declutter Hub Podcast, the mum-of-three explained that she had invested a significant amount of her savings into making the house beautiful. She described the property as “gorgeous” but acknowledged it is a lot to keep on top of, particularly as she prepares to downsize.

The home, which Helen initially called her “forever home”, features personalised children’s rooms, including a whimsical mermaid-themed bedroom for her daughters and a Gruffalo-themed room for her son. She also created a Harry Potter-inspired playroom, saying her children are obsessed with the series, just like her.

Helen, who shares Matilda, Delilah and Charlie with her ex-partner, said she expects it will “feel weird” living in a smaller property after such a spacious home. She noted that her current furniture is designed for the larger house and may not fit elsewhere, but added that a smaller property will be more “manageable”. She is reportedly considering relocating to London.
