Helen Flanagan reduces asking price on former family home again

Former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan has cut the asking price of the mansion she previously shared with ex-partner Scott Sinclair for the second time in four months. The property, near Bolton, was put on the market in May and is now listed at £995,000, according to reports.

The 35-year-old announced her intention to move in April on the Declutter Hub Podcast, saying she wanted to downsize and have a fresh start after living at the house for four years. She had originally moved there with Scott, 36, and their three children before the couple split in 2022.

Speaking on the podcast, Flanagan said a smaller home might be more manageable for her. She described the property as a big house, adding: "I feel really lucky to live here... but it's a lot to keep on top of." She also said the past few years had been "quite heavy" and that she wanted a change.

The six-bedroom home was bought for £840,000 in 2021, and Flanagan has said she invested significant savings into renovating it. The price was first reduced to around £1.2 million about a month after it went on the market, and the latest reduction means she may only barely break even after taxes and fees.

Flanagan dismissed suggestions that the sale was prompted by financial difficulties. Last month she told the Mirror: "I'm not in a financial crisis. I'm moving because I really need a fresh start. Scott surprised me with this house and it was always supposed to be our happy family home. And it wasn't that." She added: "There is a sadness in this house."
