Helen Flanagan Ready For Love After Split From Scott Sinclair

Helen Flanagan has opened up about why she waited two years to seek love after her split from fiancé Scott Sinclair. The former Coronation Street star, 34, ended her 13-year relationship with the footballer shortly after the birth of their third child, and has now revealed she is ready to move on.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Helen explained that she accepted an offer to appear on the reality show Celebs Go Dating because it will be 'really good for me'. She said she is now in a much better place following the break-up and has taken time to work on herself. 'I didn’t feel ready at all to do the show last year. I absolutely wasn’t in the right place. But now we’ve been apart for about two years. I thought this would be really good for me and I’d really enjoy it,' she said.

Helen confessed she had dabbled in online dating but described it as 'just awful', preferring to meet someone organically. 'I go for personality, a connection, energy. And for what I feel I need at that time,' she added.

Last week, Helen candidly revealed she still cares for Scott but said they no longer like each other. Speaking on Charlotte Dawson's Naughty Corner podcast, she said: 'I still love him very much, I care about him deeply, but we don’t like each other. We don’t like each other at all, we don’t get on.'

While Helen aims to find love on TV, Scott has moved on with model Louise Tarver. Earlier this year, Helen told the Mirror she suffered a breakdown after the split, experiencing a 'very scary' psychotic episode following a New Year’s trip to Bali with their children.
