Helen Flanagan Involved in Car Crash Ahead of New Year

Helen Flanagan has revealed she was involved in a car accident yesterday, describing the incident as 'rubbish' and admitting it was her fault. The former Coronation Street star shared the news on social media, telling fans it 'could've been a lot worse'.

Dressed in her pyjamas and holding a coffee cup, Flanagan said she felt 'deflated' ahead of New Year's Eve. She explained: 'I crashed my car yesterday. It was fine, could have been a lot worse. It's just hassle, because I planned to go to Scotland.' She added that the bumper was hanging off and she could no longer drive the vehicle.

The actress also opened up about her challenges as a single mother to three children following her split from ex-partner Scott Sinclair. She revealed that her eldest daughter, Matilda, often becomes 'moody' and 'sassy' when returning from visits with her father. Flanagan said: 'She takes everything very much in. And every single time that I get her back, she's in a mood with me.'

Flanagan stressed that she encourages her children to maintain a relationship with their father, saying it is 'totally separate' from her own relationship with him. To help communication, she plans to get Matilda a mobile phone so they can FaceTime when she is at her dad's house.

The actress spent the rest of her day catching up on admin and reading scripts for an upcoming project. Earlier this month, she publicly criticised Sinclair for missing their son Charlie's nativity play while travelling to the Middle East.
