Harry and Meghan UK Return Called 'Admission of Failure'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's reported return to the UK has been branded an “admission of failure” by a royal expert. The couple are expected to leave the US and move back to Britain after six years abroad with their two children, according to multiple outlets.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly planning to return with Lilibet and Archie to enrol them in school in the UK. The couple have not officially confirmed the news, but reports on Wednesday night suggested the move has been in planning for months and could be completed by the end of August.

Expert's Scathing Attack on the Sussexes

Kinsey Schofield, host of Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered, has launched a scathing attack on the pair. She said: “Harry and Meghan made an enormous bet six years ago. They bet that they could walk away from the Royal Family, take the fame with them and build something equally powerful on their own.”

Schofield continued: “If Britain is now becoming their primary home again, they lost that bet. I don’t know how you can credibly characterise it any other way. This is an admission of failure. And let’s remember what they started with. These weren’t two unknowns trying to make it in Hollywood. They arrived in California as two of the most famous people on earth. Companies were throwing enormous sums of money at them. They had Netflix, Spotify, Oprah, bestselling books, international press attention and access most aspiring producers could never buy. You could hardly construct a more beneficial starting position.”

Personal Shortcomings and the Future

Schofield added: “I reject the idea that circumstances simply conspired against them. At some point, personal shortcomings have to enter the equation. I don’t think they were clever enough about their choices, tough enough when the novelty wore off, or disciplined enough to consistently produce work worthy of the opportunities they were handed. You can have all the privilege in the world, but eventually you have to perform.”

It has been claimed that King Charles was not told of the news during Harry's last UK visit and only learned of the return last Sunday. If they do return, the family is expected to move into a private, non-royal residence thought to be outside London. They will not be working royals but will continue their business enterprises. The move does open the door for them to return to official working roles within the Royal family in the future, though there are no current plans for that. The couple are said to have already secured a secret new home for their return.
