Harper Beckham has sent a sweet birthday message to her big brother Romeo, who turned 24 on Tuesday. The 14-year-old took to Instagram to share her love for the second-eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, while Brooklyn Beckham has yet to publicly acknowledge the occasion.
Harper's heartfelt tribute
In her Instagram post, Harper wrote: "Happy birthday @romeobeckham. Today is all about celebrating you, and I hope you know just how loved and appreciated you are. You'll always be one of the biggest role models in my life, and I'll forever look up to you and everything you are."
She continued: "I'm so lucky to have you as my brother, and I genuinely don't know what I'd do without you. Thank you for always being someone I can look up to and be proud of. I hope this year brings you so much happiness love and everything you've been wishing for, because you truly deserve it all. Have the best birthday Romeo Love you always. Happy birthday, Romeo!"
Parents and brother join in
David and Victoria Beckham each marked the occasion by sharing a series of throwback snaps on their Instagram pages. Victoria said: "We all love you so much!" while David wrote: "Happy birthday mate, we love you so much and I'm so proud of you for all you are as a person, sweet kind and just an amazing young man. Love you so so much, have the best day ever, you deserve it."
Cruz Beckham also sent his brother a shoutout, writing "happy birthday man i love you xx" alongside a photo of them both as children.
Brooklyn's silence amid family rift
Brooklyn Beckham, however, has not issued a public statement regarding his brother's birthday at the time of writing. Earlier this year, Brooklyn released a now-viral social media statement explaining why he had chosen to distance himself from his family.
In the statement, Brooklyn accused his parents of manipulating his life, trying to sabotage his relationship with wife Nicola and damaging his mental health in their quest to keep 'brand Beckham' moving along. He wrote: "I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed."
He added: "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into. Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they'll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own façade. But I believe the truth always comes out."
