Harper Beckham has seemingly become collateral damage in the explosive ongoing fallout between Brooklyn and their parents, and it is said to be taking its toll on the teen. The 14-year-old arrived alone last week at the property, having been driven by a chauffeur, only to find no one was home. She is said to have left a handwritten note.
Had the Beckham-Peltzs been at their 14 million pound Beverly Hills mansion, it would have been the first time Harper had seen her oldest sibling face to face in 18 months. Her crestfallen expression as she walked back to the car indicated the toll that the rift between Brooklyn and his family is taking.
Tellingly, Harper made the impromptu visit on her own, just after watching her father David receive the honor of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday. Her parents and two other brothers, Romeo and Cruz, were at the ceremony, but it was Harper alone who made the five-mile trip.
Harper is said to adore her big brother. For the first 12 years of Harper's life, she was very close to Brooklyn. He was 12 himself when she was born and was a very influential person in her life. It does not take much to understand just how devastated Harper is that her big brother is no longer around, a source told the Mail.
But it seems that Harper, just like both sets of grandparents, Tony and Jackie Adams and Sandra and Ted Beckham, has ended up as collateral damage from Brooklyn's falling out with his parents. To extend it to Harper is just cruel and totally upsetting, the source added.
Shortly after Harper was seen at the mansion, a rep for Brooklyn and Nicola issued a brutal statement, claiming that photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered, saying it all, this was choreographed for the cameras. It echoes one of the accusations leveled at David and Victoria by Brooklyn in an explosive multi-page statement on Instagram in January. In it, he alleged their controlling behavior, said they had endlessly tried to ruin his marriage to Nicola, and perhaps most damning for the couple, said they prioritized Brand Beckham over authentic family love.
He wrote, in part: I do not want to reconcile with my family. I am not being controlled, I am standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into. Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they will go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.
He added: My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first. Family love is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo op even if it is at the expense of our professional obligations.
It is not the first time that Harper has been caught up in criticism of the Beckham machine. She is increasingly joining her mother at red carpet events and is noticeably channeling Victoria, from wearing slip dresses and sporting expensive designer handbags, down to her perfectly manicured nails and flawless hair. She is also following in her footsteps by launching her own beauty range later this year, HIKU by Harper, a brand reportedly inspired by the glass-skin perfection of Korean beauty.
It has led to questions over whether Harper is being overexposed. Certainly her life is very different to most 14-year-olds, including her classmates, and there are concerns about how much school she might be missing given the family's frequent jaunts overseas.
The Beckhams first faced backlash relating to their daughter back in 2016 when Harper was turning six. They celebrated with a party at Buckingham Palace, and it sparked controversy with critics arguing that the Royal Family was opening a historic, state-owned palace as a private playground for celebrities. David and Victoria shared photos from the princess party online, which included an appearance from Princess Eugenie. But it prompted backlash that it was a tawdry use of the residence. Dad David eventually clarified that it was an invited tea party and not a privately rented or closed-down palace event. Just to be clear this was not the palace opening the gates for Harper's birthday party, the former footballer said on Instagram.

A spokesperson for Sarah said at the time that the party was a private event hosted by the entire York family, saying: The Duke of York and the York family hosted a private event at the private apartments of the Duke at Buckingham Palace which was privately catered. The spokesperson added that the event was a private family event consisting of a small family tea. At the time, the late Queen and Prince Philip were away in Scotland. A palace spokesperson said that from time to time, members of the royal family who reside at royal residences invite guests to visit privately. They added: Any costs in terms of refreshments were covered [by Prince Andrew] privately.
Harper is set to celebrate her 15th birthday next month, and there is surely she would like more than to reconcile with her brother. But thoughts of a reconciliation seem increasingly unlikely. Just this week, Brooklyn took a giant stab at his parents in a new World Cup advert for food delivery service Door Dash. The 27-year-old was seen smirking in the advert as he said: You are probably wondering why I am watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home. It is a long story. Brooklyn is then seen throwing down his football tickets onto a table which shows a stack of unopened letters, a camera, and a luxury watch, which some believe to have been gifted to him from his dad.
A friend of the Beckhams told the Mirror: It is a bit rich given Nicola has been accused of staging pictures before. It is also unbelievable when they are willing to throw a child under a bus. We are talking about a little sister merely dropping off a note because she has no contact and misses him. Brooklyn is increasingly isolated from reality.
There are concerns among friends of the Beckhams that Brooklyn's crusade against his family will only continue. Ominously, the advert for DoorDash promised more soon. The pal added: Both Nicola and Brooklyn's careers have not really taken off. And if they were really honest with themselves, this feud is the only thing they are known for. Worryingly, it is something they can monetize. And as this advert shows, they have no qualms about doing so.
