David Beckham has shared a nostalgic Instagram story featuring a box of his football boots, including a pair embroidered with his children's names, amid reports of a strained relationship with his eldest son Brooklyn. The post, which showed an impressive collection of cleats from his playing career, included boots stitched with the names of Romeo, Cruz, Harper, and Brooklyn.
The tribute comes after Brooklyn, 26, publicly revealed a rift with his parents earlier this year. In a bitter Instagram statement, he accused his family of interfering in his marriage to actress Nicola Peltz and said he has no intention of reconciling. The emotional post followed reports that Brooklyn had covered up a tattoo tribute to his father and other family members.
While the Beckham family have yet to comment on their son's remarks, Nicola's father, Nelson Peltz, broke his silence at the WSJD's Invest Live event last week. The 83-year-old businessman said: 'My daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story... I'll tell you my daughter is great, my son-in-law, Brooklyn, is great, and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.'
Brooklyn and Nicola married in a lavish wedding at Nelson's Palm Beach estate in 2022. In his January statement, Brooklyn claimed his mother cancelled making Nicola's wedding dress at the last minute and hijacked his first dance. The couple renewed their vows in August 2025 at the Peltz family estate in Bedford, New York.
