Gwyneth Paltrow has spoken candidly about her marriage to Brad Falchuk, saying she “loves being a wife”. The 46-year-old actress married the Glee co-creator in a star-studded ceremony in the Hamptons at the weekend.
Speaking to Marie Claire, Paltrow admitted she had not expected to marry again after her split from Chris Martin in 2014. However, meeting Falchuk changed her mind. “I think that marriage is a really beautiful, noble and worthwhile institution,” she said. “You create this third entity, this third being that you have to nourish and look after.”
The Goop founder also reflected on her past relationship with Brad Pitt, thanking him for protecting her after an alleged incident with Harvey Weinstein. When she was 22, Weinstein allegedly placed his hands on her in a hotel. Paltrow told Pitt, who confronted Weinstein at a Broadway opening. “I am so grateful to Brad, because he leveraged his power and fame to protect me,” she said.
