Greg James, the Radio 1 presenter, mocked Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio after the A-lister was snubbed by Taylor Swift for her wedding to Travis Kelce. The DJ, 40, attended the ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday, which featured famous faces like Bradley Cooper and Tom Brady. However, DiCaprio, 51, did not make the guest list, amusing James.
James Reveals DiCaprio Was at World Cup Match
James told his Instagram followers he had an "insane weekend" after also attending the Brazil vs. Norway World Cup match in the US, where he spotted DiCaprio. In response to a fan asking how it felt to be one of the few in the stadium who went to Swift's wedding, James replied: "Really great actually thanks for asking. Particularly good because Leonardo DiCaprio was at the match looking all smug there in a hospitality box but wasn’t at the wedding. That’s showbiz, Leo!"
Secret Invitation and NDA
James secretly flew to New York for the wedding after securing an invite during an interview with Swift on Radio 1 last year. He reportedly signed a non-disclosure agreement imposed by the couple. He confirmed his attendance on Instagram, sharing a photo of pizza and writing: "I am currently experiencing the world's greatest hangover... True to her word, of course the invitation arrived, and of course I couldn't tell anyone. And oh my God, what an unbelievably brilliant night."
Other Snubbed Guests
Swift also left former best friend Blake Lively off the guest list. The pair are rumored to have drifted apart after Lively's It Ends With Us lawsuit, in which Swift's name was mentioned. A source told Page Six: "As far as Taylor is concerned, their friendship is done. Taylor's in a different place now and she just wants to be around people she trusts and who bring her peace."
