Gogglebox stars Lee Riley and Jenny Newby shared a heartfelt video message with fans ahead of the latest episode, prompting an outpouring of support from viewers. The clip, posted to the show's official Instagram account, saw the close friends thank followers for voting at the National Television Awards (NTAs).
Gogglebox returned to Channel 4 on Friday (September 25), with the sofa-bound commentators delivering their verdicts on the week's TV offerings. Households watched The Great British Bake Off, Emmerdale, Tempting Fortune, Clickbait Clinic with Stacey Dooley and I Like A Good Spanking.

In the video, Lee opened the clip saying: "Hi everybody!" with Jenny echoing: "Hi everybody." He went on to say: "We would just like to thank you all so much for this" while proudly displaying an award.
Lee continued: "Thank you so much for voting for us at the National Television Awards. It means the world to us, to all of us, and our families, and the crew and the runners and the edit." Jenny interjected: "And me. Don't forget about me." Lee responded: "You're in it, Jenny. You're in it."
He then handed the trophy to his companion, who enthusiastically declared "Thank you" before playfully remarking: "Oh it's heavy ain't it. Take it back."

This follows last week's episode which witnessed multiple cast members becoming visibly emotional while watching a commemorative programme honouring Dolly Parton. The BBC's Last Night of the Proms featured performances by Sheridan Smith and Beverley Knight celebrating the country music icon, who passed away on August 25 aged 80 following a brief and undisclosed battle with cancer.
The latter portion of the BBC concert, broadcast on September 12, celebrated the legendary singer with Sheridan delivering the feminist anthem 9 To 5, Beverley performing I Will Always Love You and country-pop pair Ward Thomas tackling Jolene. Watching the concert from their living rooms, numerous Gogglebox personalities including Mary Killen, Lee Riley and Jenny Newby were moved to tears as the performers honoured Dolly.
