GMB viewers confused by Kerry Katona's appearance

Good Morning Britain viewers were left puzzled during Monday's episode as Kerry Katona joined hosts Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley in the studio.

The former Atomic Kitten star appeared alongside Terry Christian to discuss a range of news topics, including a potential ban on balaclavas in Nottingham and car washes during a heatwave.

Kerry's Strong Opinions

Kerry voiced her support for banning balaclavas, referencing a traumatic experience in 2007 when she was held hostage at knifepoint by masked men. She said: "I think they should be banned completely. I'm triggered by balaclavas. I got burgled and held hostage by three masked men with balaclavas on, who came into my house and held me in the house hostage, where I had Heidi [her daughter] at five weeks in my arms."

She added: "I used to love walking round London, not just Nottingham, and I've had my bag stolen... There's absolutely no reason why anybody should be walking round with a balaclava or face covering for any reason."

Viewer Reactions

Many viewers took to social media to express their confusion. One person wrote on X: "Kerry Katona and Terry Christian doing the bizz on Good Morning Britain." Another added: "Wtf is going on here," while a third said: "Kerry Katona, why?" A fourth viewer questioned: "Is having 2 'celebrities' on to talk about news topics just a new time filler?"

The show also covered the ongoing heatwave, reporting a large fire after a vehicle fire spread to dry heathland on the A31 in the New Forest, Hampshire.
