Giada De Laurentiis and her ex-husband Todd Thompson put on a united front as they attended their 14-year-old daughter Jade's middle school graduation. The former couple, who divorced in 2015 after nearly 12 years of marriage, were seen cheering alongside their beaming teenager.
The Italian-American chef, 51, shared a slideshow of pictures and videos from the ceremony on social media, captioning it: 'I can’t believe how fast time flies! Soo proud of u Jadey! ♥️ On to the next exciting chapter- 9th grade!!'
De Laurentiis wore a low-cut floral peplum dress with open-toed pumps, while Jade looked elegant in a white gown with a fringe hem and a flower crown. Thompson opted for a beige jacket, white shirt, dark-wash jeans, and black Gucci loafers. Also present was De Laurentiis's current beau, Shane Farley.
During the ceremony, Jade delivered a speech, reflecting on her time at St. Matthew's school. She remarked, 'I've often heard the phrase "you don't know what you've got until it's gone." ... Well, I don't think it's accurate,' noting that she and her peers have always appreciated the happiness the school brought them.
De Laurentiis has previously spoken about her close bond with Jade, telling Parade when Jade was five: 'I thought maybe she wouldn’t want to cook like me ... but she’s so into what I do and wants to be by my side every day.'
