Halloween may be the night for frights, but for some families, spine-chilling encounters happen year-round. From phantom babies to ghoulish apparitions, baby monitors have captured unexplained phenomena that leave parents questioning the supernatural.
In Drongan, East Ayrshire, Scotland, parents Cheryl Scott and Robert Thorrat were startled after reviewing footage from their baby monitor. The video showed two floating objects above their son Scott's cot, followed by the camera spinning to face a light that had not been switched on. Cheryl, who believes in ghosts, said: 'It's as if you can see a hand waving between the chest of drawers and the cot. I definitely think a ghost visited.' The family lives in a home previously owned by Cheryl's grandparents.
Another parent, who posted footage on Reddit under the username Cyn32286, captured an 'anomaly' rising from the bottom of the screen to the top, coinciding with their tot waking up. The parent claimed to have seven similar videos. While some viewers dismissed it as dust, others were convinced it was paranormal, with one commenter suggesting it could be a 'Guardian Angel'.
Jade Yates, a mother from an undisclosed location, shared a video on Facebook showing what she believed to be two spirits interacting with her daughter Ruby. The footage appeared to show a pale white figure sitting up in the cot alongside Ruby, with an adult-like figure nearby. Jade said: 'What I see is a baby older than Ruby, as it's able to sit up/stand up, and an adult attending to this baby/Ruby.' She added that the spirits seemed attentive and not nasty, and disappeared when she checked on her daughter.
