Georgia Harrison, the 30-year-old reality star and campaigner, has revealed an embarrassing moment during her MBE ceremony at Windsor Castle earlier this year. Harrison, who was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire for her work tackling online privacy and cyber crime awareness, met Prince William at the investiture.
Speaking on Loose Women on Friday, Harrison explained that she did not know Prince William would be presenting the honour until the day itself. She described the experience as 'surreal' and noted the Prince's powerful presence. During the ceremony, Harrison attempted a curtsey but fell over, prompting Prince William to laugh. 'It was a fun moment and he probably won't forget it,' she joked.
Harrison, from Loughton, has been a vocal campaigner on violence against women and girls after becoming a victim of revenge porn. Her ex-boyfriend Stephen Bear was jailed in 2023 for voyeurism and disclosing private sexual photographs. Harrison waived her right to anonymity to speak out about her experiences.
During the ceremony, Prince William praised Harrison's bravery and discussed further measures to protect women and children online. Harrison described the encounter as 'the biggest honour of my life so far apart from having my daughter Sahara.'
