Love Island bombshell George Knight has broken his silence after dramatically quitting the villa. The 28-year-old footballer left the show after less than a week.
Why Did George Knight Leave Love Island?
He cited 'personal reasons' for his shock exit, which aired during last night's episode (June 7). Lorenzo Alessi was tasked with delivering the news to the group that George had left and would not return.
Prior to the episode airing, George took to Instagram to explain his decision, posting: 'Family comes first, always.' He added: 'Leaving the Love Island villa was a decision made in order to be with my family. Out of respect for them, I'd prefer not to go into any further detail.'
George's Short Stay on the Show
The Basingstoke lad had arrived as one of the initial bombshells alongside Yasmin Hadlow. He was even given the power to choose which Islanders faced the first dumping.
Fans have since rallied around George with supportive messages, with one writing: 'Best wishes George. One of the nice guys.' Meanwhile, his co-stars in the villa shared that they wished him well after hearing news of his exit.
