All Points East festival took over London's Victoria Park on 23 August, with Deftones headlining and Gene Gallagher, son of Oasis' Liam Gallagher, debuting with his band Villanelle. The lineup also featured IDLES, JPEGMafia, Show Me the Body and Reclus.É.
Standout performances and crowd moments
Marisa Dabice of the band Mannequin P**** squatted down and licked the microphone during her set, while JPEGMafia, real name Barrington DeVaughn Hendrick, performed his greatest hits. Joe Talbot of post-punk band IDLES also took the stage, and Show Me the Body performed at the park.
Festival scale and atmosphere
The London-based festival can host up to 40,000 people, and a crowd of that size flocked to watch their favourite bands amid a London heatwave. Gene Gallagher stole the show as fans cheered from the crowd, with other acts including Ecca Vandal, who wore a pleated skirt covered in safety pins, and AFI's Davey Havok.
