Gemma Atkinson on the phases of childhood
Gemma Atkinson says Gorka Márquez will 'shrink in his chair' as their children grow up. The couple, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, are now engaged with two children, Mia and Thiago.
Speaking on the Lost In Translation podcast, Atkinson reflected on the different phases of parenthood. She described newborns as 'little podgy little thing that can't function at all without you', looking like they have 'elastic bands around their little wrists'.
Mind-blowing questions and sassy attitudes
As toddlers, she said, 'every day, they ask a question that blows your mind'. But that phase is replaced by a 'little sassy girl or a little cocky boy'. She noted that Mia 'speaks to us about boys' and 'needs new crop tops', adding that things like that 'make Gorka shrink in his chair'.
Atkinson also joked about her fiancé's reaction to their daughter's growing independence, saying: 'And then soon, they'll be a teenager, and they'll be hormones.'
Gorka jokes about Gemma's past career
Elsewhere, Gorka poked fun at his fiancée's past as a glamour model. When asked online what Gemma is famous for, he replied: 'Flash[ing] her tits' and added: 'Oh, she's also an actress.'
Gemma responded: 'No, I work in the public eye. I've done every soap you can imagine, my darlings, I run a business, and I was FHM's sexiest woman back in the day.' She then turned to the camera and declared: 'Your dad'll know' before giving a cheeky wink.
