Rebecca Gayheart has made her first public appearance since the death of her husband, Eric Dane. The actress attended the Los Angeles premiere of The Drama on Tuesday night with her two daughters, Billie, 16, and Georgia, 14.
Dane, best known for his role in Grey's Anatomy, died on February 19 at the age of 53 after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He and Gayheart separated in 2017 after more than a decade of marriage, but remained legally married at the time of his death.
For the red carpet, Gayheart wore a striped dress with a small pink purse, while her older daughter chose a white lace outfit and her younger daughter wore a light pink dress. Gayheart offered a soft smile for the cameras.
In a statement announcing Dane's death, his family said he spent his final days surrounded by friends, his wife, and his daughters, who were "the center of his world." Gayheart cared for Dane up until his death, despite their estrangement.
In a recent interview with Variety, Gayheart thanked the entertainment community for their support, saying: "They've been holding me and the girls up the last two weeks, and I don't think they're going anywhere."
