Graeme Park (Harlow Green) died suddenly on 4th August aged 47 years. He was dearly loved by Debbie, Matty and Mark and a much loved uncle of Connor, Sophie, Billy, Miley, Harper and Rainbow. Friends are invited to service at Saltwell Crematorium on Friday 21st August at 3.15pm. Family flowers only please but donations in memory of Graeme may be given at the service.

Edith Pearson (Nee Calder) (Chapel Park) died peacefully in hospital with her family by her side after a short illness bravely borne on Friday 31st July 2026 aged 83 years. She was the beloved wife of Matty, devoted mam of Matty, Linda and Steven, and treasured nana of Aaron, Tamlyn, Taylor, Lewis, Sammy-Jo, Matty and Macaulay. She was also a much loved great nana of Brodie, Laker, Roman, Aspen and Bear, and loving sister of Jimmy and the late Arthur. Would all please meet for funeral service at West Road Cemetery Chapel on Friday 21st August at 12.30pm followed by interment.

Florence (Florrie) Rutherford (Benwell/Elswick) died peacefully at home with her family on Thursday 6th August 2026 aged 78 years. She was the beloved wife of the late John (Tams), and a much loved Mam, Nana, Sister, Aunty and friend who will be sadly missed by all. Would all please meet for funeral service at West Road Cemetery Chapel on Thursday 27th August at 11.00am followed by interment.

Further Tributes and Service Details

John Short (Slaley) died peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday 5th August 2026, aged 78 years. He was the much loved father of Claire, Christian, Samantha, Amanda, Juliet, and Rebecca, a very proud grandfather of his 10 grandchildren and a loving father-in-law. Requiem Mass will take place at St Mary's R C Church, Hexham on Friday 4th September at 10.00 am, followed by a private burial.

Howard Steavenson (Tynemouth) passed peacefully at home on 31st July aged 72 years. He was the beloved husband of 41 years to Val, and much loved dad to Tom and Philip. Family and friends please meet for service at Tynemouth Crematorium on Friday 28th August at 11:15am.

Brian Fletcher Steward (Tynemouth) died peacefully on 4th August, aged 90 years. He was the devoted husband of the late Dorothy, much loved dad to Ian and Alison, and adored grandpa to Kate, Will, Grace and Alice. Please meet at The Church of the Holy Saviour, Tynemouth, on Friday 21st August at 2.00pm for a celebration of Brian's life.

Glen David Stuart (Moorfields) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on 2nd August 2026 aged 51. He was a devoted husband to Caroline, a dearly loved stepdad to Harry, and a treasured son to Edwin and Sandra, also a beloved brother to Neil. Would family and friends please meet for service at West Road Crematorium on Friday 21st August at 11am.

In memoriams were published for Patricia Clisham (Watson), Ann Patricia Docherty, Harry Richardson (Lowbiggin), Robert Ryan (Smiler) Shellard, and Keith (Stroller) Smith. A birthday memoriam was published for Colin Anderson.
