Freddy Brazier's Emotional Mother's Day Tribute to Late Mum Jade Goody
Social media influencer Freddy Brazier has opened up about his poignant visits to his mother Jade Goody's gravesite, where he confides in her about his journey into fatherhood. The 21-year-old, who is expecting his first child in April, revealed that he has been sharing updates on the baby and his feelings with Jade, despite finding it challenging to talk to a headstone.
A Difficult Day for Freddy
Freddy admitted that Mother's Day is a particularly tough time for him, as he often watches others celebrate with their mothers and wishes he could have a special day with Jade. "I've often looked at people out with their mums on Mother's Day and thought, 'You're so lucky . . . I wish I could have a special day with my mum'. But now, I'll be able to make new memories with my baby daughter," he told The Sun.
Jade Goody, who rose to fame on Big Brother, tragically passed away in 2009 at the age of 27 after being diagnosed with terminal cervical cancer. Freddy and his older brother Bobby were raised by their father, Jeff Brazier, following her death.
Reconciliation and New Beginnings
Freddy is set to become a father with his on-again, off-again partner Holly, with whom he recently rekindled his romance. The couple split in November after Holly caught him partying with girls and smoking cannabis in her home while she was on holiday. However, they have since reconciled, with Freddy moving back into Holly's flat and treating her to romantic gestures like red roses during a weekend walk.
Holly discovered she was pregnant in August last year, and Freddy confirmed the news to fans via a TikTok video, where he humorously referred to himself as a DILF. In another video, he expressed his excitement about fatherhood, saying, "Can’t wait to be a Dad. To love my child like I love dogs, dogs are my everything without Pablo I don’t know where I’d be."
Family Concerns and Freddy's Response
Despite the reconciliation, reports suggest that Holly's family has concerns about the influence of Freddy's grandmother, Jackiey Budden, who is described as volatile and possessive. "She is volatile and very possessive over Freddy. It's like she can't share him with anyone. So there are serious concerns about how she will act when the baby arrives," a source told The Sun.
Freddy, however, defended his relationship with Holly, insisting, "We are stronger than ever, it's a fresh start for both of us." He also shared that he has been working on himself since learning about the pregnancy, adding, "I’ve been working on myself since I heard I’m going to be a father. I can’t wait for this chapter to start, fatherhood is going to be beautiful."
The couple's romance was rekindled after Holly invited Freddy to her baby shower, and they have since been spotted in public displays of affection, seemingly oblivious to onlookers. As Freddy prepares to welcome his daughter in April, he continues to honor his mother's memory while embracing the new role of fatherhood.
