Freddy Brazier was every inch the doting father as he and his girlfriend, Holly Swinburn, stepped out for the first time with their baby daughter, Isla Jade, in Essex this week. The 21-year-old son of late Big Brother star Jade Goody and TV presenter Jeff Brazier welcomed the newborn last month after rekindling his relationship with Holly, 22, ahead of the birth.
Reconciliation After Reported Split
Earlier this month, Freddy reportedly moved out of the couple's home and traveled to Gran Canaria after the new mother was said to have refused to allow his grandmother, Jackiey Budden, to meet their daughter. However, the couple now appeared happier than ever during their stroll, sharing a giggle and basking in the spring sunshine.
Freddy cut a casual figure in a black T-shirt paired with matching joggers and comfortable trainers. Holly wore a brown velour Juicy Couture tracksuit with UGG boots and wore her long blonde locks loose for the low-key outing. The couple pushed baby Isla Jade—named in honor of Freddy's late mother—in her pram before stopping for a feed.
Previous Tensions
It had been claimed that Freddy left the family home following a disagreement after he was pictured arriving at Jackiey's flat with a bag. The couple were believed to have separated for a second time just weeks after welcoming their baby daughter. According to reports, Freddy then traveled to the Canary Islands while Holly remained in the UK with their child.
A source told The Sun: "It's a bitter blow for Holly after their row and shows he's doubled down. They have unfollowed each other on Instagram and Holly is especially furious he has left her and their baby so soon after the birth. It's not how she imagined her first weeks of motherhood would be."
Holly is said to have concerns about Jackiey's lifestyle, reportedly believing she has been a negative influence on Freddy. Another source told The Sun: "He has packed his bags and disappeared without telling Holly where he is. Holly loves Isla Jade and is taking motherhood really seriously, but Freddy is not the same—despite all the 'happy family' pictures they posted together on social media."
Freddy's Relationship with His Grandmother
Freddy previously claimed in an explosive TikTok video that he had come to the realization his grandmother had been lying to him. However, in December, they appeared to have patched things up just in time for Christmas. Freddy revealed the pair attended a memorial service in remembrance of his mother, Jade, who is also the late daughter of Jackiey. Taking to Instagram, Freddy shared a photo of the large crowds attending the service and some snaps as he strolled through South East London with his dog. His grandmother did not feature in the images, but he penned: "Went to see my Mum with my Nana. We also took Pablo on a long walk around Bermondsey and down the river."
In November, Freddy told his followers that he "tried to end it all" by crashing his car before his 18th birthday during a manic episode. During the tell-all TikTok video, he also shared a photo of his grandmother and wrote: "Prioritised my relationship with my mum's mum not knowing she has been lying to me for years!"
Legal and Family Dynamics
It is no secret that the duo have had a tumultuous relationship in recent times. Last year, Freddy's father, Jeff, tried to obtain a court order to prevent Jackiey from having contact with his son, fearing she was a negative influence. Since Jade's death, Jeff has looked after Freddy and his older brother Bobby. Jackiey, 68, helped raise Bobby and Freddy following Jade's death, but she and Jeff have clashed multiple times over the years. Earlier this year, Jeff considered taking action to legally block contact between his son and his grandmother "to keep him safe." However, the pair appear to have mended their relationship, and Jeff publicly wished his son a happy birthday in September, stating he would always be there for him.
In a preview for his podcast "Load of Old Cobblers," Freddy admitted: "I've been smoking since I was 12, I've been to rehab, I've been sectioned, I've had manic episodes. There's been a real journey and it's been a tough one."
