Freddy Brazier has spoken candidly about his separation from Holly Swinburn, the mother of his baby daughter, admitting he remains in love with her. The 21-year-old son of Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody said he is not seeking a new relationship anytime soon.
Freddy Brazier on his feelings for Holly Swinburn
In an interview with The Sun, Freddy stated: "Yes, I'm single, single, but I'm a dad. I don't want to be with people, I don't want to chat to people and entertain loads of girls, and things." He added: "It doesn't bother me anymore. Now that I've got a little girl, I feel like I respect women a little bit more, and I'm still in love with my baby's mother. I care about her a lot."
Relationship timeline and family dynamics
Freddy and Holly, 22, announced their relationship in June 2025. Just two months ago, they welcomed their first child, Isla Jade, named after Freddy's mother. However, their relationship has been marked by turbulence, including multiple splits and reconciliations. Freddy's family life has also been in the spotlight due to a rift between his father Jeff and maternal grandmother Jackiey Budden, with Jeff threatening legal action over access.
Fatherhood and personal growth
Freddy reflected on how fatherhood has changed him: "Fatherhood's definitely changed me. I’ve grown up - well, a little bit. Isla's only a few months old, she's too small, she just makes cute little noises - but I'll definitely talk to her about mum when she gets older and understands more." He recently told the Mirror that baby Isla has the same eyes as his mother Jade, who died of cervical cancer in 2009 when Freddy was four.
Relationship with Jeff Brazier
Freddy also addressed his bond with his father Jeff, with whom he participated in Celebrity Race Across the World in 2024. He described Jeff as a natural grandfather at 47: "He absolutely loves it. Every second of it. Yeah, I'll definitely see dad this Sunday and make a fuss of him!"
Mental health and therapy
Freddy has partnered with mental health charity Mind and spoke about his coping mechanisms: "It's really hard. But I don’t think it's because I come from a family that's in the public eye. I've just developed very bad coping mechanisms over the years, not dealt with my issues in the correct way. Now that I'm a dad, I'm fighting against those." He added: "I'm doing therapy - a lot of therapy. I'm staying healthy by exercising, getting out into the fresh air and walking - I'm walking, all the time!"
