Freddie Mercury's Secret Daughter Breaks Silence Ahead of Biography Release

Freddie Mercury's alleged secret daughter has spoken publicly for the first time, ahead of a new biography claiming the Queen frontman fathered a child in the 1970s. The woman, identified only as B, says she was raised by another family but always knew the singer was her father.

The biography, titled 'Before Love, Freddie', is written by Lesley-Ann Jones, a prolific biographer of Mercury. Jones claims to have accessed the singer's private journals and notebooks, which document his relationship with his daughter over 14 years. B personally handed the materials to Jones.

In an interview with MailOnline, B said: 'I didn't want to share my dad with the whole world. After his death, I had to learn to live with the attacks against him, the misrepresentations of him, and with the feeling that my Dad now belonged to everyone.' She added that she mourned her father privately while fans mourned Freddie publicly.

According to Jones, Mercury had a room in B's family home to spend time with her, and he called her daily while on tour. Only Queen band members, Mercury's family, and his long-term partner Mary Austin were reportedly aware of the child.

Channel 5 has commissioned a 90-minute documentary, 'Freddie Mercury: A Secret Daughter', to coincide with the book's release. The documentary will explore the alleged relationship and Mercury's early life.

Mercury died in 1991 at age 45 from bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS. The biography has already faced backlash ahead of its publication next month.
