Celtic rubbed salt into Rangers' wounds by hijacking their bitter rivals' club anthem after winning the Premiership title, and James Forrest has revealed it was dressing room DJ Kieran Tierney who was behind the cheeky wind-up.
Tina Turner anthem played at Celtic celebration
Hoops fans made Tina Turner's 'The Best' their own during last season's title charge before the players joined in after sealing a record-breaking 56th championship. The iconic tune, blasted out at Ibrox for decades, was pumping through the Parkhead dressing room after Celtic completed a League and Scottish Cup Double.
Forrest told reporters: 'I think it's just maybe from the fans, like maybe the last year or two. The Celtic fans have been singing that as well, so it's all good banter as well.'
Tierney the DJ
The winger confirmed Tierney was responsible for the music. 'KT always puts the tunes on. He's the DJ at Scotland as well and then at Celtic, he's always done that,' Forrest added.
The revelation comes as Celtic fans continue to revel in their domestic double success, while Rangers look to rebuild under new management for the upcoming season.
