Alysia Vasey, known as the 'Yorkshire Forager' from James Martin's Saturday Morning and Countryfile, has revealed her marriage is over. She tied the knot in early 2025, but said in an emotional post that the marriage had been over since before Christmas 2025 and she wanted to come clean to her followers.
Emotional announcement
"So this is a hard one," she said in a video. "So I feel like coming clean because there's no point wearing a wedding ring when your marriage is over. And it has been since before Christmas. I know I haven't been married long."
She spoke about coping since the split: "Absolute struggle these last eight, nine months. I didn't expect it. I feel a bit embarrassed by it all, but it is what it is. So I'm on my own and I didn't expect that."

She added: "Anyway, I feel like I've come clean now, so it is what it is, isn't it? Anyway, goodnight. I hope you're all well." The post was captioned: "This is a tough one, my marriage has been over since before Christmas. I have lived unimaginably hard times, that I have put a brave face on."
"It's been very tough for me the last 4 years, I've managed to break free, but lost just about everything. I'm still coming to terms with everything and hopefully one day will find the peace and love that I deserve x"

Fans responded with support. One commented: "So sorry to hear this, sending you lots of love and hugs. Take one day at a time. Keep strong xx". Another wrote: "You are very talented and be strong you will find your feet again and nothing to be ashamed about whatsoever."
Replying in the comments, she said: "I am reading all these messages, the support and kindness you are all showing is overwhelming.. but in a good way. thank you, all of you xxx"
The news comes a year and a half after she announced on January 9 that she had recently married: "Announcement: I am hugely excited to say, having got married recently, I have taken my husbands name and will be known as Alysia Greenwood. (Great foraging name)"
On Saturday Kitchen in February 2025, host James Martin quipped: "I am not going to get the hang of this. I have been calling you Alysia Vasey for years now." Alysia replied: "Better foraging name, Greenwood!"
