Food influencer claims she was roofied and kidnapped at Hollywood party

Meredith Hayden, a food influencer known as Wishbone Kitchen with over two million TikTok followers, has claimed she was drugged and kidnapped at a Hollywood premiere party four years ago. In a video posted on Tuesday, the 30-year-old said she was responding to criticism about her travel anxiety ahead of a birthday trip to Japan.

Hayden said she began feeling unwell at the party and tried to leave, but someone “pushed me into their car and kidnapped me for, like, a few hours.” She added that she did not report the incident to police because she did not know anyone at the party and was aware there was no security footage, as the invitation had stated cameras would be off.

The influencer said she initially kept the experience private to avoid being labelled the “roofie kidnap girl” as her online following grew. She later said she was diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and agoraphobia, which affects her ability to be in crowded spaces.

Hayden rose to fame in early 2022 with her TikTok vlogs documenting her work as a private chef in the Hamptons. She now has nearly four million followers across Instagram and TikTok, and her cookbook spent 12 weeks on The New York Times bestseller list.

She did not immediately respond to requests for further comment.
