Coronation Street viewers are convinced that Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) is set to embark on an affair with Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), the best friend of her husband Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). The speculation comes after Friday's episode (July 10) left Fiz feeling unappreciated.
Fiz's growing dissatisfaction
Fiz, a beloved character since 2001, has been trying to keep the romance alive with Tyrone through regular date nights. However, in the latest episode, Tyrone failed to compliment her, leaving her distinctly underwhelmed. Matters escalated when Tyrone's biological father, Ross Wilkes (Ian Burfield), made an unexpected appearance, shocking Tyrone.
On a dedicated Coronation Street Facebook fan page, fans shared their theories. One viewer posted: "Wild theory, but I think Fiz could have an affair. We know Corrie doesn't keep couples happy for long." Another simply commented: "Kevin!" A third wrote: "Imagine! The ultimate betrayal." While another added: "I wouldn't be mad, Fiz deserves a juicy storyline."
Kevin's turbulent past
Kevin Webster has endured a difficult 12 months. Last year, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer, turning his life upside down. His wife Abi (Sally Carman) was unfaithful with his estranged relative Carl (Jonathan Howard), and his sister Debbie (Sue Devaney) is battling young-onset vascular dementia.

In 2024, Fiz actress Jennie McAlpine appeared on Good Morning Britain and discussed her lack of input into storylines. When asked if she could suggest changes, she said: "No, and I don't think I'd want to really because we have such a brilliant team... You just have to trust them." She added: "Some things you think won't work better than you thought, and some things you think will be brilliant don't go so well."
