Eva Mendes has given fans a glimpse of her Christmas celebrations, sharing a radiant selfie from her family home in California. The former actress, who has been living in London with husband Ryan Gosling and their two daughters, posted the photo on Instagram with the caption: 'RN… A very Cali Xmas. Feliz Navidad! Sending so much love.'
In the image, Mendes wears oversized light brown sunglasses and a fuzzy grey hat against a bright blue sky. The post garnered warm wishes from fans, with comments including 'Merry Christmas to you and your family' and 'Merry Christmas beautiful!!'
Mendes and Gosling, who met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011, have two daughters: Esmeralda, 10, and Amada, 8. The family recently spent nearly six months in west London, specifically Notting Hill, while Gosling filmed the Project Hail Mary adaptation in Surrey.
In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Mendes praised the communal gardens in Notting Hill, calling them 'magical,' but joked about the UK weather, saying: 'I love how you guys are so up for talking about the weather and the first ones to know that it's [expletive] weather.'
Gosling, in a rare interview with GQ last year, revealed that the couple maintains a low-key lifestyle without hired nannies, relying on Mendes's mother for childcare. The family travels together for his projects, which is why he limits himself to one film per year.
