Eva Longoria Bastón, best known for playing Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives, has found her dream home in Marbella. The 48-year-old actress and activist, who lives between Mexico and Los Angeles with her husband José Bastón and their five-year-old son Santi, had been searching for a property on the Costa del Sol for five years.
Born in Texas to Mexican-American parents, Longoria turned her celebrity into a platform for philanthropy, co-founding the Global Gift Foundation. She serves as honorary president and helps host fundraisers in Marbella, where she has spent many summers. The villa was renovated by her friend, architect Nicolás Escanez, who handled every detail without her input.
The house features multiple bedrooms for family visits, a large garden and pool for her son, and a spacious kitchen with an island – described by Longoria as 'the heart of the house'. She also raves about her dressing room, which unexpectedly filled with outfits for Marbella's active social scene.
Longoria contrasts her Marbella oasis with her busy Los Angeles life, saying she has two modes: 'on' for work and 'off' for relaxation. She praised Escanez's design, which uses gentle beige, cream and white tones to create a sense of spaciousness and comfort.
