The captain admitted that the team had been given a rocket by manager Thomas Tuchel at half time after he had hit two first-half goals, only for Croatia to equalise just before the break.

Jordan Pickford's wife Megan was present despite her luggage being lost en route to Dallas. Megan, who wed childhood sweetheart Jordan in 2020, posted a snap of herself on social media.
