England's stunning 4-2 victory over Croatia in their World Cup opener was sealed with loving kisses from their WAGs. Harry Kane walked away from the Dallas stadium with a dream World Cup start under his belt and the Man of the Match award. The captain admitted that the team had been given a rocket by manager Thomas Tuchel at half time after he had hit two first-half goals, only for Croatia to equalise just before the break.
Jude Bellingham's Crucial Goal
Jude Bellingham scored the vital third goal just after half time to put England 3-2 up again. He received a warm hug from his dad on the final whistle as a reward. Ashlyn Castro, who planted a kiss on her England goal hero Jude, was in the stands with Jude's mum Denise and dad Mark.
WAGs in the Stands
Jordan Pickford's wife Megan was present despite her luggage being lost en route to Dallas. Megan, who wed childhood sweetheart Jordan in 2020, posted a snap of herself on social media. She wrote: 'No suitcase mishap was going to stop me supporting my husband. Featuring the top I travelled in & borrowed jeans.'
Harry Kane received a kiss from wife Katie. Ollie Watkins' partner Lauren Fryer was also an eager spectator. Elliot Anderson reunited with relatives after the game before flying back to Kansas with the team.
Post-Match Activities
Those who did not play were due to have a warm-down training session back in Kansas this afternoon. Those who played had a day off to rest and recuperate.
