Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) is currently facing the terrifying ordeal of being held hostage by a deeply disturbed criminal in Emmerdale. Kylie, played by Pippa Fulton, has recently served an eight-year prison sentence and has a fondness for surgical scalpels. But this isn't the first character Pippa has portrayed in Emmerdale. In fact, she previously shared a steamy night with Michael Parr (Ross Barton) back in 2014, and later appeared as a customer at Take A Vow, the Dales' premier wedding planning service. She also had a guest stint on Coronation Street, playing a part in Steve McDonald's disastrous foray into online dating.
Who is Kylie in Emmerdale?
Kylie is desperate to reclaim her beloved 'Penny', a diamond stolen by Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill), Lewis's father. As Lewis attempted to join his boyfriend Vinny Dingle on a spontaneous holiday, he was grabbed and forced into a car. Ross received a text that Lewis is in danger, with Kylie demanding the return of 'Penny'. She later reveals to Ross that 'Penny' is the most precious thing in the world to her, and if she doesn't get it back, Lewis will be killed.
The Search for Kev
As Ross begins hunting for Kev, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is forced to reveal the truth: Kev is likely the father mentioned in the text. Liam and Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) are among the few who know the truth. With Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) knowing Kev's whereabouts, Liam urges her to help. She does, and Ross and Liam track Kev to a van where he sells cakes. Ross and Kev come to blows, and Kev reveals that 'Penny' is a diamond he sold to a pawn shop. Ross demands he locate and buy it back. When Ross leaves, Kev reveals that 'Penny' is actually around his neck on a necklace.
Kylie's Threats
Tired of waiting, Kylie contacts Ross, expressing her excitement about using a scalpel on Lewis. She also contacts Kev, demanding the return of 'Penny' by the end of the day. Ross, growing frustrated with Kev's lies, knocks him out and uses him as an insurance policy before confronting Kylie. Meanwhile, Kylie terrorizes Lewis, gleefully revealing she will kill him without a second thought.
