Chris Chittell, known for playing Eric Pollard in Emmerdale, has been married to his co-star Lesley Dunlop since June 2016. Their relationship began on the set of the ITV soap, leading to an engagement in 2015 and marriage the following year.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Chris revealed how their romance developed: "It was weird. Somehow, we'd never met before, and we just kept bumping into each other at work." He added, "I can't even remember if I asked her for a date or she asked me but she is wonderful and we're very happy."

Secret to a Happy Marriage

Chris shared the secret to their successful relationship: "For some people, working together would be a nightmare but we love it. We make a point of not talking about Emmerdale when we're at home though, that would be just too sad, wouldn't it?"

Age and On-Screen Family

Chris is 78 years old, born on May 19, 1948. His character Eric was born on June 11, 1945, making him 81. Eric is a long-standing resident of Emmerdale, widower of Val Pollard, father of David Metcalfe, and grandfather to Amba and Theo. He also considers Jacob Sugden his grandson.

Recently, Eric comforted Cain Dingle at his father Zak's grave, using his own experience with Parkinson's to encourage Cain to undergo a critical cancer operation. Eric is currently married to Kerry Wyatt, whom he wed on Christmas Eve for financial reasons.
