Emmerdale fans are convinced they know what Dawn Taylor will name her baby, following the tragic death of Jimmy King in the wedding marquee explosion.
Dawn (Olivia Bromley) has been at the centre of dramatic storylines since joining the show in 2018, from battling drug addiction to turning to sex work. This week, a pregnant Dawn was involved in a car crash on her wedding day to fiancé Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).
Wedding Day Chaos
On the day of the wedding, Dawn initially fled with Billy Mayhew (Jay Kontzle) and their children, but returned to the village after realising Billy's lies. As she arrived at the marquee to see a devastated Joe, Jimmy King (Nick Miles) crashed his car into the structure, leaving the three fighting for their lives.
In Thursday's episode (August 27), Dawn regained consciousness and tended to Joe, who was trapped under debris. Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) arrived and was horrified to see Jimmy in the wrecked car. Though he appeared fine at first, Jimmy's condition worsened, and he died with Nicola by his side.
Explosion and Fan Theories
Noticing petrol leaking and an open flame nearby, Joe ordered Dawn to save herself and their baby. She escaped, but as Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) rushed to help Joe, the marquee exploded.
With Dawn and her unborn baby appearing likely to survive, fans have shared their predictions. One person on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page said: "If Dawn makes it out alive she'll call her baby Jimmy I'm sure of it." Another added: "That would be sweet," while a third suggested: "Or maybe Kim [Tate] if it's a girl?"
