Emmerdale viewers have been left astonished after recognising Dr Todd star Caroline Harker in a classic 1990s television drama. The actress, who portrays the villainous Dr Todd on the ITV soap, previously appeared in the crime series A Touch of Frost, a role that has now gone viral among fans.
Dr Todd's Recent Storyline on Emmerdale
Caroline Harker's character Dr Todd has been at the centre of intense drama in the village. She initially made life difficult for medical student Jacob Sugden, played by Joe-Warren Plant, by pushing him to his limits and gaslighting him over his mistakes. Her attention then shifted to Charity Dingle, portrayed by Emma Atkins, whom she blackmailed for weeks regarding the true parentage of Leyla Sugden.
The evil doctor demanded £100,000 from the Woolpack co-owner, leaving Charity feeling desperate. The situation escalated when Dr Todd sexually assaulted Charity. Although Charity reported her to the police, there was insufficient evidence to keep her in custody. Recently, a flash-forward scene aired showing Dr Todd lying in a pool of blood, suggesting someone may have killed the villain.
Caroline Harker's Career Highlights
Caroline Harker is no stranger to television, with a diverse acting career spanning decades. Her credits include ITV dramas such as Joan, Harry Enfield and Chums, Holding On, and Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. She also appeared on rival soap Coronation Street in 2012 as defence barrister Alicia Davenport during the trial of Frank Foster for the rape of Carla Connor.
However, it is her role in A Touch of Frost that has recently caught fans' attention. Harker played Hazel in the long-running crime drama, which aired from 1992 until its conclusion in 2010.
