Emily Atack has announced that children will not be permitted at her upcoming wedding, despite the fact that she is a mother herself. The 36-year-old actress, best known for her roles in The Inbetweeners and Rivals, is preparing to marry her fiancé Alistair Garner in a lavish three-day celebration in Spain this September.

Strict Ground Rules for the Big Day

Speaking on comedian Romesh Ranganathan's podcast, Emily revealed that she and Alistair have set firm guidelines for their wedding weekend. One of the most notable rules is that no children will be allowed at the ceremony or related events. This includes Emily's own son, Barney, who will turn two next month.

“We're being kind to our friends and making sure that people don't have to worry too much about paying for lots of things. But we have said no kids at the wedding, no children,” Emily explained. She expressed surprise at how well the rule was received, adding, “I thought I'd get a lot of people kicking off, but they're like no, 'f*** those kids.'”

Wedding Plans and Inspiration

Emily has been thoroughly enjoying the wedding planning process, from choosing napkins to finalizing the overall theme. She told Luxury London Magazine, “I think I've nailed it. We're getting married in September. I've very much enjoyed the planning process. Choosing napkins and stuff. I'm like, 'My God, my life is here!'”

The ceremony is inspired by her role in the hit show Rivals, and she has expressed a desire for a “huge dress and a big f*** off party” to celebrate married life. Sources close to the former I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star say that Spain holds fond memories for her, and she has always dreamed of getting married there. Alistair was reportedly on board with the idea from the start.

Emily's Current TV Projects

Fans can catch Emily back on screens as Sarah Stratton in the TV adaptation of Jilly Cooper's racy novel Rivals on Disney+. The second season, released on May 15, has already caused a stir with its bold scenes. Additionally, she continues to co-host the show Nobody's Fool alongside Danny Dyer, which has been well-received for its unique blend of reality and quiz formats.
