Ellie Goulding has suggested she has dated women, describing her past relationships with men as 'toxic, fleeting and passionate'. The 39-year-old singer, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Beau Minniear, made the comment on the Disney+ reality show Love Thy Nader.
During the show, filmed last summer, model Brooks Nader joked about potentially dating women after her split from Gleb Savchenko. Goulding replied: 'That's what I do. It works every time.' It is unclear whether the singer was being serious.
Goulding, who has a four-year-old son, Alfred, with ex-husband Caspar Jopling, also shared her views on love. 'I think the most exciting love comes for a reason, and it's toxic and fleeting and passionate... It's all great song material,' she said. 'Annoyingly, I do it for the plot so that I can write a song about it.'
The singer, who is set to release her sixth studio album soon, added: 'It's all about being the amazing woman that you are, and then guys are just an accessory every now and again.'
Goulding announced her pregnancy in December 2025 and went public with her relationship with Beau in September 2025. She had previously been linked to Brazilian surf instructor Armando Perez in 2024, which prompted her to confirm her separation from Jopling.
